  • A highly informative seminar from which OECS stakeholders must benefit

On 15 February 2022 Sylvie Vanoukia, President of the Guadeloupe Regional Council’s energy committee,  had the pleasure of launching the debates on the occasion of the work session reporting on the results of Guadeloupe’s Energy Standards for Buildings (RTG2020). This day of discussions united more than 80 participants from the building sector for a morning devoted to feedback and nearly 50 technical experts for the afternoon session.

  • Contributions from the Regional Council of Guadeloupe and the CSTB

The day’s agenda included contributions from, among others, the Regional Council of Guadeloupe and the Scientific and Technical Centre for Building (CSTB). On this occasion, they reported on the outcomes of the energy standards that were established in Guadeloupe over 10 years ago.

  • Contributions from the sector’s stakeholders

It was also an opportunity for professional players to provide feedback on their command of the regulatory texts  produced under the RTG2020, and of the technical tools created through consultation work conducted with the profession for more than 10 years (the new RTG/DPEG calculation platform - online access link:  http://rtg.dimn-cstb.fr/login )

  • Rallying the support of Guadeloupe’s estate agencies

The dialogue gave those estate agencies present at the event a better understanding of these regulatory measures and of the RTG/DPEG calculation platform. This cooperation with estate agencies, who are now fully involved in the measures, is an important step in the overarching goal, supported by the Guadeloupe Regional Council, of informing individuals as well as the private sector.

  • Guide to feedback on the RTG

The report resulting from this seminar will enhance the work already underway and also help with the production of a feedback guide whose purpose is to share with OECS member states the knowledge acquired by the Regional Council of Guadeloupe on topics relating to the thermal characteristics of buildings.
