Energy transition is a crucial topic for countries in the Caribbean region. It is in this context that the webinar "TRANSFORMING THE BUILDING INDUSTRY IN THE CARIBBEAN: KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM GUADELOUPE’S ENERGY EFFICIENCY POLICIES" took place, organized by the Regional Council of Guadeloupe on Friday, May 12, 2023. And it is safe to say that it was a resounding success, with over 107 participants connected!

The "Energy Transition in the Caribbean (ETC)" project aims to support countries in the region in their transition towards locally produced renewable energies and to strengthen their resilience to climate crises. This webinar was an opportunity to highlight the potential of energy efficiency policies in Caribbean buildings.

Experts used Guadeloupe's Building Energy Efficiency Regulations (RTG) as a case study to share their knowledge on creating comprehensive and effective governance mechanisms for establishing energy efficiency regulations for buildings, tailored to the Caribbean's island context.
