Les Journées de la géothermie, organisées par l’Association Française des Professionnels de la Géothermie (AFPG), se sont déroulées les 9 et 10 juin 2022 à Aix-les-Bains et ont réuni plus de 300 personnes. La plénière d’ouverture a consisté en une table ronde autour de la thématique « la géothermie, une énergie de nos territoires ».
Les échanges et retours d’expérience ont eu lien entre :

- Yann WEHRLING pour la Région Île-de-France
- Charles Fournier pour la Région Centre-Val de Loire
- Alexandre DOZIERES pour la Direction générale de l’énergie et du climat
- Benedicte GENTHON pour l’ADEME
Une vidéo a été projetée, lors de cette plénière d’ouverture,pour illustrer concrètement l’expérience de la mise en place et du développement de la centrale géothermique de Bouillante, en Guadeloupe. Mr Laffont a notamment fait référence à l’accompagnement historique du développement de la géothermie par les institutions (Ministère, Région, ADEME etc.) ; il a rappelé que ce soutien se poursuit actuellement avec la mise en place du CECG.
Le lendemain, lors de la session #3 de conférences, organisée notamment sur le thème « Economie, compétitivité et emploi », Philippe Laplaige, expert géothermie à l’ADEME, a présenté le contexte et l’état d’avancement de la création du CECG. Il a notamment rappelé que le CECG aurait un double rôle : celui d’interface avec l’ensemble des acteurs concernés par le développement de la géothermie sur l’Arc caraïbe et celui de centre de ressources (soutien R&D, organisation de formations, séminaires techniques, diffusion d’informations et bonnes pratiques etc.).
